Transparency is important to us. Your Engagement Letter will always confirm the specific hourly rates that apply to your matter. These rates vary by department and the experience of the person working on your case.
We review our rates regularly (at least annually on 1 April) to reflect changes in our costs and market conditions. We'll always tell you before any new rates apply to your work.
Guideline Hourly Rates (GHR)
The courts publish Guideline Hourly Rates (GHR) which are used in some litigation matters when assessing costs. These are not a cap on our charges.

How we calculate your fees
Our fees are based on:
Supervision time is charged to ensure quality – this includes senior lawyers reviewing junior colleagues' work.
All rates exclude VAT (20%).
If there is any difference between the rates shown here and those set out in your Engagement Letter, the Engagement Letter will take precedence.
